Registration for the 2016 Summer Bridge Program is now closed.
The following information applies only to students who will be attending a Pulaski County Special School District High School (Rising 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th) in the fall, or attended one this past school year (Graduating Seniors).
The Donaldson Scholars Academy team has been working diligently to plan for the 2016 summer bridges for students in the Pulaski County Special School District. With recruitment efforts underway, and expected enrollment increases, there will be three programs conducted during June and July for high school students.
The first program, referred to as Bridge A, will be for students who are enrolled in our concurrent composition I class. They will be concluding that class the first four days and begin their composition II class the last four days. Also during those last four days we will have Bridge B, which is a four day program for all upcoming 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. The last program will occur in July, where we will have our 3-week Bridge C. This program is for all graduated seniors. More details about each bridge are provided below.

Dates: June 27 – 30, 2016
Population: Any student who is a first-time or previous participant, and will be in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade beginning August 2016.
(3-week program for graduated seniors) *First-time and previous participants
Dates: July 10 – 30, 2016
Location: UALR and Philander Smith College
Population: All graduated seniors that have been accepted to the program will attend this program. Some students will work to bypass developmental classes, while others may begin composition II and college algebra, depending on test scores. Students who complete the 3-week program are eligible for the CWDSA scholarship to either University of Arkansas at Little Rock or Philander Smith College.
